Hello I’m Courtney

Originally from Atlanta, I earned my BFA in Fiber Arts with a Minor in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.

My journey in the fashion industry began in 2007 when I moved to Philadelphia for an internship with Free People, part of Urban Outfitters Inc. This experience quickly evolved into a full-time role, where I played an integral part in launching We The Free, a new brand focused on trend-driven apparel. As a design assistant, I helped shape the brand’s identity—developing graphics, color palettes, and trends for both wholesale and retail. By 2009, We The Free had successfully expanded to stores in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. During this time, my passion for print, pattern, and graphic design for lifestyle apparel took center stage.

In 2010, I joined Aritzia as an Applied Designer, becoming the company's first U.S.-based remote employee. With a temporary work visa, I worked closely with the Vancouver-based design team, contributing to labels such as TNA, Wilfred, and Talula. My role involved collaborating with apparel designers to develop seasonal prints and graphics, ensuring each design was production-ready and aligned with the brand’s vision.

Currently, I am freelancing with Wrangler’s Western Heritage Collection, where I design prints and patterns for Men’s, Women’s, and Youth lines. This partnership has been an incredible opportunity to merge my love for Western aesthetics with my expertise in textile design. My work focuses on intricate florals, paisleys, geometric prints, and, of course, stunning horse motifs. Keep an eye out for new designs dropping for Summer 2025!

As I continue this creative journey, I’m excited to take on new ventures, collaborations, and freelance projects. If you're looking for fresh, dynamic patterns or custom artwork for your brand, let's connect—I’d love to bring your vision to life!
