Hello I’m Courtney
Originally from Atlanta, I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Fiber Art and Minor in Graphic Design.
In 2007, my fashion journey took off when I moved to Philadelphia for an internship at Urban Outfitters Inc., Free People. This opportunity opened doors for me, and I soon became a design assistant, launching a new brand called We The Free. In this role, I played a vital part in developing apparel, color schemes, graphics, and trends for both wholesale and retail. By 2009, We The Free had successfully established stores in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. While still immersing myself in the fashion, my focus gradually shifted towards print, pattern, and graphic design for lifestyle apparel.
In 2010 I started working for Aritzia in a applied designer role as their first US remote employee. With a temporary work visa I was able to work in and out of Aritzia's support office based in Vancouver BC. Contributing to several labels including TNA, Wilfred, and Talula, Collaborating with apparel designers to fit the needs of each season and creating art that is production ready.
Currently I am freelancing with Wrangler - Western Heritage Collection. This has been an extraordinary stroke of fortune, allowing me create prints and patterns for their Men’s, Women’s, and Youth lines. The privilege of collaborating with Wrangler has provided me with a platform to express my passion for Western prints. With a heavy focus on florals, paisleys, geo prints and beautiful horses. Stay tuned for styles dropping Holiday 2024!
I'm looking to continue taking on new ventures and opportunities. I am open to collaborations, freelance projects, and any other exciting endeavors that come my way.
Feel free to reach out, and let's talk about how we can create something amazing together!
